The frightening consequences of electroshock therapy

This journal is filled with an enormous number of half-truths and outright lies, including this sentence.

Other news - some good - some not so good

Kind of strange to put an entry on my cat and yet not mention other goings on of relative importance. First, I became an uncle for the tenth time. 8 of 12 welcomes his first girl, after three boys. Her name is Ana Joan. Joan is my mother's name, and I think Anne was Saint Mary's mother. 8 of 12 is the current blacksheep of the family, but even though I might be the only one doing it, I'll send a gift and a card. 8 has turned into a devout Catholic, and his wife is only in her mid-30s, so they probably aren't done yet.

The not-so-good news is that my mother is going in today for a biopsy on a lump they found in her breast. They noticed it during a routine exam a while back, and a sonogram raised some concerns. She's gone through this once before, and last time it turned out to be a calcium deposit, but I'll keep my fingers crossed until Friday (makes for difficult typing, but it's a minor inconvenience compared to the worrying mom is going through).
