This journal is filled with an enormous number of half-truths and outright lies, including this sentence.

My strange streak of good health continues

Yesterday I started feeling a tightness in my chest. Then later in the day, I could tell I was running a slight fever.

So I figured this was finally it: I was going to get a serious flu bug. I went to the store and stocked up on food and fluid, because it's cold outside, and I figured I would want to stay while I was ill.

At 3 a.m., I woke up. Fever had broken already.

I've still stayed inside today because I can still feel something very marginal in my chest. But otherwise, I am back to normal already.

It's been over two years since I've had something that took me out of work for more than a day. It's strange because my streak before that had been to catch something nasty every year and be laid up for at least a few days.

I attribute it to my diet of junk food and tendency to play on the computer until my eyes are sore.
