"The bomb was planted on the women's side and all the dead were women." All of the victim's of today's mosque in Pakistan bombing were women. What is it like to die in such a way, I can only wonder and pray that it is quick. But is quick best? What must the shock of the afterlife be when you are so quickly thrust into it? We all want our deaths to be quick, painless, even unanticipated. Is this best? Shouldn't we have some notion that our death is creeping up on us?

Baudellaire thought orgasms were little deaths. And orgasms are much better when anticipated. I just don't mean anticipated by minutes, but imagine if we could forecast them days in advance. They might, then, have to be more rare, or happen only on special occaisions, like holidays.

Suppose that not only the little death, but also the big deaths were predictable, like holidays.

Or if we only had an orgasm once, just like a birth, just like a death. Then imagine if they all could be predicted. What a life that would be.

"The bomb was planted on the women's side and all the dead were women."

THE DAEMON BRINGS MAN AGAIN AND AGAIN TO THE PLACE OF CHOICE.
