Mood:
Weak, after a long sickness, coffee

I've been dead sick for the past week, trying to shake a flu that's caused me much vomit. I think I'm getting over it with the help of water, coffee, and Alleve. it was the kind of sick where everything on your body hurts, sitting up makes you dizzy, and the thought of food makes you nauseous.

In the past few weeks, been to North Carolina to say hi to old friends. I also went to D.C. for an interview (which I got!!!!) and to say hi to a more recent friend from Clarion 2002 - HI TANAISE!

Today I put 90,000 miles on my 1995 Nissan Sentra. I have been from New Mexico, Pennsylavania, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Providence, North Carolina, D.C., Toronto, East Lansing MI, and other odd and sundry places.

But like any faithful servant, the car is getting long in the tooth - alternator problems, transmission fluid leaks, and oil leaks are plaguing my days and my wallet. It may be time to retire her soon.

Today I watched a hawk (not a vulture) tear apart a squirrel. Today a another hot-head refused to do an oral presentation next week because I made the assignment when she wasn't in class.

SERENITY NOW?
