Garlic and Sapphires by Ruth Reichl. I loved this book! I thought it would be primarily about food (And there is a lot of food-talk in it, recipes too!) but mostly it is a book about the author herself, and learning to live authentically. Very well written. Highly recommended. A must-read for foodie wannabes.

Friedman's Fables by Edwin Friedman. Aesop, move over! Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. The "study guide" that came with it was enormously helpful, and I followed along after each fable in the booklet. For such a simple-to-read book, it was very thought provoking. I read many of the fables twice. I would love to use this book in an adult-ed setting.

Currently working on finishing: Disobedience by Jane Hamilton, Generation to Generation by Edwin Friedman and Children Playing Before a Statue of Hercules compiled by David Sedaris. Will update as books are finished!
