2007-02-18 7:32 PM Playing the Waiting Game So, all of my Park Scholarship finalist activities are finally complete. The final interview, the group discussion, the talks, the seminars, the overnight stay, it's all done. There is nothing I can do now to change the outcome of the Park Scholarship selection. Now I have to wait, the only comforting thought is knowing that I will find out before March 1.
About the weekend itself... 1.) The Park Scholarship is so much more than a full ride, there are all sorts of benefits involved, in addition to nearly every expense being covered. 2.) The support group between the current scholars is incredible. Everyone is friends with the other current Parks, and the interaction reminds me of a big family. 3.) NCSU food is not bad at all. It's not home cooking, but it is not bad at all. 4.) I picked the Southern drawl back up again. Every time I talked to someone with even the slightest of Southern accents, my accent came right back. Oorah for being Southern at heart... Southern US and South Korean... 5.) There is quite a nice pool of attractive young ladies among the Park Scholarship finalists... as in around 15-20 girls who are very attractive. Just a periphery; all of these finalists are excellent individuals, its just more fun to hang out and talk to someone if they are female and attractive. Now for the waiting game. It started Saturday. 4:30. Right after the end of the finalist activites. And so it continues. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
