Vampiric

Tired out from school and the mass of activities, I haven't been able to write in a while, not just here, but anything, no poetry, no stories, no anything. But life goes on, this is my last year of high school, it's finishing up, so I just need to keep as positive as possible and keep moving on.

So, thinking positive, I found out there is something I really like. The negative is that it isn't readily accessible, and is a semi-grotesque thought, and there is a cultural taboo surrounding it.

I like the taste of blood.

So, I didn't just cut myself... or someone else... and start tasting blood to see if I liked it. I got a cut about 1/8" deep in the side of my thumb at some point from Robotics. When I was showering, it started bleeding like mad, and wouldn't stop bleeding. So, in an effort to keep my towel from getting all bloody while drying off, I took the most logical step, and began to suck my thumb.

Now, just an aside, it is really awkward trying to dry off with one hand while the other hand is in your face. I strongly advise against such action, as a banged head and two stubbed toes later, I realize it isn't very efficient.

So, while stumbling around foolishly, bumping into the walls, almost falling into the toilet, and getting water all over the mirror and floor, I realized something was tasting really good. It couldn't be soap; no, my soap does not taste very good. Plain skin is rather bland. Water is tasteless. I assumed the combination of water and soap meant that there wasn't some residue on the skin of unknown origin.

Then it hit me, like a textbook flung across a room (which, by the way, really hurts). I was tasting my own blood, and the warm, smooth, silky, salty taste was tempting the tiny little taste buds prompting me to want more.

That was weird. I'm not going around cutting people or myself to taste more blood, but I did find out that blood tastes quite nice.

On another end of being vampiric, the moon is frikin glorious. The past few days have been good for sleeping, even if the amount of sleep is rather limited. Somehow the moon manages to excite my senses, I get... not giddy, not joyous, but very comfortable when the moon is out.

Taste for blood: Check
Love of night: Check
Dracula resemblence: Got the black hair, tall, leaning on the lean side
Following of Females: Debatable...
