2007-05-14 9:56 PM Finally, the gift realized On Sunday I had my Senior Recital for Piano. My last ever recital. No more recitals or competitions for piano. But something special happened, something that never really happened to me before.
It used to be that I would go into recitals, play, just sort of a platonic mood, and be done. At home my music is full of emotion and beauty and warmth and life, yet it just never really came out before. But Sunday was special. Sunday was special given that I finally was able to explode and release that beauty within the music. I completely disregarded the crowd; it didn't matter that it was only 50, it wouldn't have mattered if it was 5 or 5,000. What did matter is I absorbed myself in that music and shared the true deep seeded emotional path laid so cleanly within the little specks on paper. I have more confidence in my ability now to share music; not just share beautiful pieces, but share with others how powerful the message can be in a speech without words. I now know I have a purpose for my music, to share and brighten the day of anyone who is willing to listen even for one moment. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
