What happened to the arts?

Why have we strayed so far from the arts?
How rare is it to find students yearning to learn more about music, painting, drawing, sculpting, theater, dance.

Why have we left the arts?
The concepts so beautiful were once viewed as the sign of sophisticated and elevated society. Now they are largely ignored as unessential.

Why do we not touch and foster the arts?
Does the beauty of a painting, the flow of dance, the rhythm of music, the soul of a play, not fit within our preformed, static, statistical standards of learning?

Why have the arts fallen behind?
Have computers and other modern technology so wholly distracted our minds and twisted our bodies such that we ignore the worldly connection to our soul?
