So how has your week been going? Mine is definitely on the upswing! Nothing really huge - well maybe potential for something - but a lot of really small things. Today I was mesmerized watching all the different birds crowding around the feeder outside the kitchen window. I have no idea what it was but I swear there was one that was green - not a usual color around here - and before I could get up to get a closer look, it flew off. There were cardinals and wrens and a few chickadees (I think). Squirrels were running around in the yard, then up and down the trees in some kind of frantic spring arrival celebration I suppose. It just seemed as though everything was alive and expectantly awaiting Mother Nature's final blessing to burst into full glory. But not quite yet! Shortly after I got up to attend to some household chores, the temperature started to drop and suddenly, it was as though the morning's rapturous tribute was an illusion.

I also got to spend some time with my grandson. I haven't seen him in over a week and have suffered such separation anxiety. He is three years old and absolutely the most amazing child ever! He was so happy to see me and kept hugging me and giving me kisses. It was difficult, but I endured them! HA! Isn't it amazing how the love for one person is so different from another? I love my son but the love for my grandson surpasses any I've ever known. It is the kind of love, at least in quantity and quality, I would someday like to have from a man but afraid the clock may be running out on that possibility. But then again, maybe not. Hope it is said springs eternal.

So nothing profound today. Take care and see you next time.
