"People might cite George Bush as proof that you can be totally impervious to the effects of Harvard and Yale education."

--Barney Frank (D-Mass)

I can't believe I missed this front-page article in this morning's Post. Actually, I can - it was right next to the picture of the friggin' Panda cub. (Panda Watch! ...how spot-on was Anchorman, seriously?)

But our editor here pointed it out, and it's pretty stunning stuff. Bush came out and endorsed teaching intelligent design (aka "creationism in a cheap tuxedo") alonside evolution in U.S. classrooms, citing the need to expose people "to different schools of thought."

(I'll give everyone a moment to collect themselves, after the chills pass.)

Scientology is a "different school of thought" ...does that mean it belongs in a classroom curriculum too?

"I have nipples, Greg. Could you milk me too?"

Seriously - seriously, ...no seriously, does this guy do anything right? Besides putting on his pants in the morning? Does he even do that himself?

Apologies to the progressive Texans that frequently read here, but I've fuckin' had it with your effing state. Between our sitting prez, several unrelated stories I've written for Seattle that inexplicably made their way back to corporate greed in Houston, the Spurs, and don't forget my nutty ex-girlfriend, I'm at wit's end. I'm starting the civil war - I'm firing the first shots. We're occupying ("liberating"?) the state until it gets its shit together.

You Texans are welcome to join the resistance...or not. And if you happen to get caught in the crossfire, we'll memorialize you with some crappy new monument here in our nation's capital. Fair?
