I just taped my first (last?) radio interview, with AP Radio, regarding a second-day story I wrote on the latest bizarre installment in the Chavez Circus.

I put the story on the wire - tentatively, cause I'm still figuring out the APs whole system - and about 20 minutes later I'm getting a call from Washington to be interviewed about the whole situation. So we talked for maybe five-seven minutes and I'm still getting over this cold so it couldn't have sounded very pretty.

I don't know when or where (or if?) they'll use the soundbytes, but I thought that was pretty cool.

With all the crap that's gone down in the past three weeks, it's easy to forget there was a definite reason I went with Caracas, and that I am not in fact retarded for being here.

(I am in fact retarded for other reasons.)
