Editor's note: Dickie's not a big pro-football guy. Growing up, he wasn't a Raiders fan - and then the team moved back to Oakland. The Lambs sucked, and then they moved to St. Louis...where they proceeded to stab God's Country in the back and became a premiere team. (God, Dickie hates Georgia Frontiere.)

Plus, Editor's note, don't forget that pro football is to college what men's tennis is to women's. Like a women's match, a college game is more fun to watch because of its general "scrappiness." Does that make sense? Does that make me sexist? Obviously, women are a lot hotter than men - that certainly helps. OK, now I'm sexist.

But pro's quicker, sharper, faster - the action's over before it begins. Blegh. With the college kids there's always that potential for a devastating error leading to a stunning upset - more drama, more heart. They're still learning - there's more general scrambling across the field.

Where am I going with this? I came of age in a Racist Tostitos Fiesta Bowl Loser household, watching fifteen defenders pile onto The Bus in a futile attempt to bring him down before the goal line. The guy was a marvel.

Then Bettis went pro, and you'd just check on him in passing on Sports Center. I tell you: Pro football is where college players go to die.

But anyways - so Bettis is going out on top. Great. And everyone wants him to win it all. 'Cause he's Jerome Bettis. Awesome.

Look, the way I see it The Bus got bailed out on that one-yard line fumble in Indy that nearly cost Pittsburgh their ticket to the Super Bowl. Can you imagine if that's the play his career ends on? Awful, just awful. The fact that he survived that scare - that's Bettis' reward. That's what he gets, for being Jerome Bettis. But a Super Bowl victory? The whole thing? Is everyone forgetting that Seattle's never been in a Super Bowl - let alone won - and that the city's starving for some championship wins?

So I'm putting my hat in for Seattle. The bottom line is, both Souljah and Racist Tostito's Fiesta Bowl Loser are pulling for Pittsburgh and it's a rare opportunity to piss them both off simultaneously. How often does that happen? Carpe diem, bitches.
