Uncle Jerry came today and stayed in my backyard doing stuff. I looked out at him a few times, but it didn’t look too interesting. Tonight the People took us all outside and made us stand our right paw in wet goo. I think Uncle Jerry had something to do with that. While they were working with Poodle, I went to the gate and saw something scurry under it. I yelled out Mouse! and Mouse poked its head under the wood and wriggled his nose at me. I yelled out again. And again. I couldn’t help myself. I have never seen Mouse up close except for when Cat used to bring Mouses inside and leave them for the People, so the ones I’ve seen up close have all been in bad shape. Now I know what Mouse looks like when I am smelling him under the house. The People gave us Chicken tonight. I do not know why, but I liked it, and I hope they do it every night. A night with both Chicken and Mouse makes me happy to be living the life of Ella the Circus Dog. |
