Shelley and Ken, Happy anniversary!!!! What is this now, 12 years? Congrats!

My little family are all sleeping. 3 cats, 1 child and 1 spouse. I can not seem to fall asleep. I spent 30 minutes laying in bed staring at the ceiling before succumbing to the lure of housework. So I got up and starting futzing around the house, putting away stuff and quietly tidying up. Today is really the first day I feel like myself again. I have energy, I am not completely exhausted, and I got to go out for a couple hours, all by myself. I went shopping at Target, while Paul stayed home with Jade. It was wonderful. Paul has been really great with everything. He is doing so much for us. Cleaning, fixing meals, changing diapers, letting me sleep while he takes care of Jade. I could not have asked for anyone better. But it was still nice to be able to go out for a couple hours!

In other news, Jade had her 2 week blood tests done yesterday. (Routine, no problems.) Nothing worse then intentionally inflicting pain on your child. The tests are done at the hospital, so I took her there, and they pricked her foot with a needle. And I felt like the worst parent in the world. So I spoiled her for the rest of the day. We met Paul for lunch and then went home and cuddled for the afternoon. She rewarded us by waking us up only a couple times last night. (which is an improvement from every other hour!)

Not much else going on here. We are preparing for Grandma to visit next week, so that should be fun. I just need to get organized before she gets here!
