Yikes, its October!

I am often amazed at how fast time goes by. It has been a really good couple of months, but we have been busy! Work is going well. A good friend is expecting. Jade is doing great. The Mets are in the playoffs. Life is good.

Jade is back in swimming lessons on Saturday mornings. She just loves it. This is the first time she is taking lessons without me being in the pool with her. There are 5 kids in her class, and 2 teachers, so she gets lots of individual attention. She will be in lessons until December. At daycare she is taking tumbling, computer class and now "Tot" kwon do. The teachers all comment on how much fun she has in her classes. She is just so energetic! We also got our first set of mandatory school tests done. Her eyes and ears are in great shape. It is amazing what is offered. We could have opted to have several hundred dollars worth of tests done, above and beyond the state mandated ones. We were advised against it at her age though, she is still a bit young, and several experts agreed that it is not a good thing to do so much testing. It tends to become a self fulfilling prophecy. And god forbid she be having a bad day when they do the tests!

Next week is the daycare "Fall Festival." Otherwise known as halloween party. Why do we have to be so PC???

Lets see...what else...Paul is doing great training for his marathon. I am so proud of him. This is a great experience. (And I get a trip to Disney out of it too!)

Still loving warcraft, just wish I had more time to play! I promised Paul I would help him "grind" for evil bat eyes and glowing scorpid blood, so that will be my distraction while watching the playoffs.

Oh yeah! I got about 75% of my xmas shopping done. I am so excited by this. I have a couple more flex fridays that I can finish everything, and should be done by Thanksgiving. Whew!
