5 is a great age for the holidays. Jade is having so much fun. We have an advent calendar with chocolate that we open every night. Our homework is all season related. (Thank you Ms. Zabin!) There are lights everywhere, and Jade is just loving every minute of it. (Well, except for the minutes that involve waking up in the morning... sometimes she is a bit too much like me...) It has been busy. I feel so disorganized. I still have shopping to do, which is not my usual status. By now I should be done. But I am finding that there is a great amount of joy in watching Jade's little smile every time we see something new or bright and shiny. Or wrapping gifts for daddy! Its going to be a fun holiday.

And now I am off to bed. With any luck we will all get a little rest tonight!
