Grandma's Journal

It is so nice to see sunshine. It has been a hetic week. Monday was unbareable and I wish to forget it. For now it is in the back of my mind, and we will see how things go.

Yesterday Neil started taking apart the over-hang over the front steps. It had a bee's nest in it last year, and we decided we had better do something about it, as the bee's were starting to search again. After he got it apart, he found the biggest paper wasp nest I had ever seen! It was huge. I took photos and will post them on MYSPACE later.

Today he has the over-hang all put back together pretty much, but will still need to paint it next week. There is only so much he can do in 2 days. I hate to see him work so hard at home because I know he puts in long hours and works hard at work. His hip still has a hard time keeping up with the work load. His knee feels better thou.

My mom is getting worse everyday. My sister is still trying to convince me it is time to put her in a nursing home. But I am sticking to my guns so far. I have to find another source of income before she leaves here. Need some way to make the morgage payment.

Picked up Amy's Christmas gift and it is so pretty. Very elegant, and special. IT is going to be hard to wait until Christmas to give it to her, but I will wait. I am going to put it in the safe, out of sight, out of mind!

Tonight we are eating at Amy and Bryan's house. We will be eating left over turkey and ham sandwiches, and watching "The Deadly Catch".

It was good to see that Cindy finally got back to her journal. I missed reading what was going on. Cindy I have an entry that you need to read from last week or so. It is about Becky!

Grandma's Journal My Journal I became a Grandma at the age of 49 years old. Well I was actually only 17 days from being 50. My baby girl gave me gave me my first grandchild. He was a beautiful bouncy boy. Then 2 years later she surprised me on my birthday at 5am by waking me up and telling me "Happy Birthday Mom!" Time to get up we are going to the hospital and having a baby today! I told her NO that's tomorrow. It took a little bit for her to get it through my groggy head that she was going to be giving me a birthday present! and she totally did. She gave me a dark hair beautiful little grand daughter. Now I can enjoy spoiling 2. I have decided that the best thing in the world is being a Grandma! There is nothing that come close to that! I have been married for 30 years to a man that lives for his family. He only wants the best for all of us and spoils us all! He is a good man that works hard for his dollar. We have a pretty good marriage to say the least. Well it must be if we can put up with each others faults this long! My mom who has Alzehimers lives with us and has been for almost 3 years now. She is in the finally stages of the disease and still hangs in there. She loves to grab the broom and sweep. She does this everyday, and several times a day. I keeps her busy. She will even sweep the counch or the kitchen table if you let her. My oldest daughter is going to be 34 years old this year and hasn't lived at home in 16 years. I spend as must time as I can with her. But it is never enough. She plans on coming home to live and take care of us in 7 years. I cant wait! It's my dream to have her home. She is a dear friend to me and we have a great relationship. she always tells me that I am her best friend.
