Grandma's Journal

Wedneday Amy and Bryan had a going away party for Carson's tonsils. we ate at Eatsa Pizza in pasco. They have some good food. lots of friends and family showed up to say good by to his yucky tonsils..

Thursday I was up early and at the hospital (KGH) to be there for Carson before he went into surgery. I stayed until he was out and in his room upstairs. He did great! he was eating and drinking as soon as he woke up from surgery...they did his blood work prior to his surgery and the results came back that his IGA diffency hasn't changed...so he still has that problem!!!

I was back home by noon, after I ran to the pharmacy to put him Carson's RX script and ran to Walmart to buy a few food items...fixed mom and I lunch and fell asleep...up after an hour of sleep to help with Carson after he got home...set with the kids later in the evening so Amy and Bryan could go get something to eat, and a milk shake for Carson..back home and fed mom and I was in bed by 9:30...I was tired..

Today Amy and I ran to Costco, Target, and then to Panda Express to pick up lunch and then we went to the Girl Scout office in Richland to have lunch with Dawn. We had a great lunch and conversation.

Then back home and I fixed lunch for mom and had time for a short nap... Watched Desi while Amy took a nap and then had some time to play with her. she is starting to crawl and sit up. so you have to keep a closer eye on her.

Then it was off to Red Robin for Chowder and a small ceaser salad. I also got a chocolate shake to share with Carson since he is still on a soft diet.

Now I am sitting here thinking about making some popcorn and heading downstairs and folding laundry.. do I or do I not want popcorn...Hell yes! dah what a stupid question!

tomorrow is the Fair parada.

Grandma's Journal My Journal I became a Grandma at the age of 49 years old. Well I was actually only 17 days from being 50. My baby girl gave me gave me my first grandchild. He was a beautiful bouncy boy. Then 2 years later she surprised me on my birthday at 5am by waking me up and telling me "Happy Birthday Mom!" Time to get up we are going to the hospital and having a baby today! I told her NO that's tomorrow. It took a little bit for her to get it through my groggy head that she was going to be giving me a birthday present! and she totally did. She gave me a dark hair beautiful little grand daughter. Now I can enjoy spoiling 2. I have decided that the best thing in the world is being a Grandma! There is nothing that come close to that! I have been married for 30 years to a man that lives for his family. He only wants the best for all of us and spoils us all! He is a good man that works hard for his dollar. We have a pretty good marriage to say the least. Well it must be if we can put up with each others faults this long! My mom who has Alzehimers lives with us and has been for almost 3 years now. She is in the finally stages of the disease and still hangs in there. She loves to grab the broom and sweep. She does this everyday, and several times a day. I keeps her busy. She will even sweep the counch or the kitchen table if you let her. My oldest daughter is going to be 34 years old this year and hasn't lived at home in 16 years. I spend as must time as I can with her. But it is never enough. She plans on coming home to live and take care of us in 7 years. I cant wait! It's my dream to have her home. She is a dear friend to me and we have a great relationship. she always tells me that I am her best friend.

A friend of my oldest daughter made it for me, and she did a beautiful job.
