32. Not the meaning of life. Not the age at which I started seeing threads of gray in my hair. Not the number of angels who can dance on the head of a pin. And speaking of pinheads, not the number of denials of guilt we've heard in the last day from our fearless leader and his staff on whether they committed traitorous behavior. Not any of those, but rather the number of meetings I have this week. This does not include the number of reminders to do one thing or another that appear on my calendar (8), kids' activities (7), nor my own personal appointments (2). Is it any wonder I'm feeling a little overextended, stressed and exhausted?

I saw a herd of deer this afternoon in a field behind a neighborhood I used to live in. That was the highlight of my day. Oh, and the 9 meetings.
