Overhead at lunch:
“Well, he has a lot on his plate already. He’s taking a math class at Penn State, he’s the captain of the tennis team, captain of the science team, works part time, is captain of the varsity wrestling team, maintains a 4.0 average, leads the Future Superheros of America Club, writes symphonies in his spare time, is a consultant to Stephen Hawking, Stephen King, and Stephen Spielberg, and has had a homeless shelter named for him.”

I may have exaggerated just a bit, but she was going on and on about her son and his many activities. I suppose I shouldn't complain since I was eavesdropping. Again.

Books: I am still reading The Witching Hour, although the section I'm in now contains fairly distressing content (burning witches and all) and so is slow going. Tried to read a Robin Cook novel, some clpatrap about using blood from the Shroud of Turin in a cure for Parkinson's. Complete and utter crap that I only started because I had nothing else to read on the planes home last night. Went to the library today and began Say When by Elizabeth Berg.

Music: After installing a new version of iTunes today it would no longer recognize music on CDs that I wanted to copy to the iTunes library on my laptop. After searching through the message boards at Apple I was able to figure out that the re-install required me to manually start an obscure service that is used by iTunes. Software is in such a deplorable state.

Movies: Hilary and Jackie. Exceptional true story of two sisters bound to each other through the music that defined their lives.
