1. Why didn't the iPod come with the cable to connect it to the PC? If Mac users don't want to pay for a cable they'll never use, then why not have a version that comes with the cable pre-bundled and charge the extra $19.99 it will cost to buy one? This seems to be the same type of technology-religious-war-bigotry that Apple users seems to accuse Microsoft of with great glee and frequency. And why is there no damn off button on the iPod? What is possibly intuitive about holding the pause button for an inordinately long time to shut it off?

2. And why doesn't Amazon offer a personals service that matches people according to their purchases and/or wish lists? What is wrong with these people? Don't they see this obvious opportunity waiting to slap them in the face like a wet sheet hung out to dry on a summer day?

3. Any why do my digital cable boxes continue to break and generally act flaky? Why will they let me order a movie, watch some of it, pause it to retrieve some essential low-carb chocolate ice cream, and then refuse to acknowledge that the on demand service exists at all? Why do they always tell me, when I call their customer service people, who are undoubtedly in the wilds of Bolivia or Malaysia, that they know it's broken and it will take 48 hours to fix?
