More resolve

Today - take down all signs of Christmas (except the overly large wreath on the front door - left up merely to annoy the neighbors), including tree and ornaments. Mostly done, but tree won't fit back into box - it may have to be stored boxless until next year.

Another resolution - don't kick the seat in front of you at a movie theater. The theaters I go to have ample room between the rows of seats and there's simply no need to kick the person in front of you. Unless you're just an inconsiderate asshole, that is.

Movies: Paycheck. Much better than the reviews I read had me believing. Some similarities between this and that other Philip K. Dick story, Minority Report (although that was a better movie, probably due to Tom Cruise executing his role in a more convincing manner than Ben Affleck). Many incongruities - very sophisticated technology and yet some of the keys are still the old metal style; they can read back and erase someone's memory and yet they are wowed by a simple holographic technology; they use an allen wrench to open one of the locking mechanisms; etc. Entertaining, but you definitely have to suspend your disbelief.
