Tea and sympathy

This morning before anyone else (except the cats) was up:
1. 4 loads of laundry (2 being done, 2 in the staging area)
2. Vacuumed 6 REs (RE=Room Equivalent; the hallway counts as a room because it's gigantic, something that I know men love to hear, but women do not when it's associated with square footage of vacuumable area)
3. Changed the sheets
4. Cleaned Rebecca's room
5. Watered the poor jade plant and Christmas cactus that crave the sunlight but don't like being too cold

A bit more about tea at the Rittenhouse yesterday. There's something about drinking tea out of an ethereally thin china cup from a real tea pot using a silver strainer and pouring real cream from a tiny silver creamer that makes the tea taste far different from the same English Breakfast that I drink out of my Eeyore mug. If I had to live in the city (I'd have to give up my car as was clear from yesterday's entry, or a homicide would certainly ensue), I'd live at the Rittenhouse. Since a two bedroom apartment there currently sells for between $2M-$3M, it's doubtful I'll be moving there soon.

Movies: Happy, Texas. Simple comedy that didn't require too much brain power. Bill Macy always does a wonderful job, even with a role as seemingly superficial as a redneck hick sherrif (his words in the movie, not my characterization).

Music: A song by the Mosquitos called Mosquitos containing a line "What you call love is sucking the life out of me." Struck me as funny this morning while I was cleaning.
