Tonight was spent at the mall, the layout of which Rebecca knows as well as her own house. She is able to pinpoint every shoe store as if she had a GPS locator, and also knows where every clothing store is. We must have walked around the entire mall twice, searching for just the right pair of sneakers. Sometime during the outing we also managed to accumulate several pairs of jeans, a few tops, a couple of skirts and even a pocketbook (for me!). The sneakers were finally located (after we had already struck out at two shoe stores before even getting to the mall), along with socks that were priced at about the same per ounce cost as precious metals. If Rebecca does not buy a new pair of shoes every few weeks, I am convinced she will simply wither up and cease to exist. Or at least, this is what she will have you believe.

We made a decision at work today, a momentous occasion worthy of brass bands (or brass balls, perhaps) and bubbly wine. It should be simple to decide to invest about $100,000 to gain a return of close to 10 times that much, but it is not when you have processes that don't work or don't exist, and battling egos that resemble the lumbering beasts of the dinosaur era. But we are on our way with one simple decision. I'm hoping we can find another one and breed them.
