Or the Id back in Idiot?

In just two commercial breaks during CSI, Spike TV offered the following commercial entertainment,

1. “We put the PIG back in pigskin.” Advertisement for the Bikini Bowl on Spike TV. And the BONE back in bonehead?
2. Scion xB – boxy Honda Element-like vehicle. When we were looking at a Toyota Prius a few months ago, and expressed an interest in the Scion coupe (which is sold at Toyota dealerships) the salesman told us he wouldn’t recommend it and suggested a Corolla instead. Big surprise that he didn’t get commissioned as highly on the Scion.
3. Vonage – completely missed this ad. Think it had a kid hitting a baseball. No idea what that has to do with long distance service. I always thought this name was pronounced with a French flair - vo-NAJ (to rhyme with TAJ, as in Mahal). Instead it's said with that flat middle America accent - VON-ag (as in I don't know what).
4. Corti-slim – something about how not everyone in the country has bought this, but that 100,000 people have. Nice round number. A combination of steroids and weight loss drug? Doesn't seem like a wise combo.
5. Valtrex - Living with genital herpes. No thank you.
6. Spike The Ball Weekend on Spike TV. Re-used shots from the Bikini Bowl ad. Very fiscally responsible.
7. That guy who used to be on NickTV (Mike something?) interviewing sobriety-challenged individuals about “what New England is”. You can imagine the answers. The guy who finally listed all the states was the drunkest of all.
8. Hide and Seek – ad for the movie. From the reviews, this one was Robert De Niro’s Heaven’s Gate. The movie, not the cult.
9. Countrywide Home Loans – my mortgage company – they’re great! (This praise will now mean that they sell my loan to the same company that screwed up paying our taxes and landed us on the delinquent taxpayers list.)
10. Boogeyman movie. Initially thought it was Boogerman. Don’t know which is worse.
11. Nextel – yellow box sale – what does this mean?
12. Vonage – people do stupid things ad – kid hitting baseball throws bat through sliding glass door. This was the ad that I missed before. Must have been rejects from America’s Funniest Home Videos.
13. Vehix.com jeopardy spoof. That guy in the Vehix box is just creepy.
14. CN8 News at 10 – local cable company channel. News at 10:00 still just seems wrong.
15. CN8 high school basketball coverage. There isn’t much I can imagine that would make me watch this.
16. Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV – Unless it was that I didn’t have to watch this piece of trash.

Rather a cross-section of American commercials, wouldn’t you say? Although without a beer ad, it really isn't a complete list.
