Well, not really, but you can't use that headline any other day of the year.

The geese are back. Sniffing our nesting spots, fouling the sidewalks with their revolting green waste, hissing at passers-by who violate their personal space. So much for the pleasantries of Spring.

One of the guys I work with tells his kids a new story every night based on the Three Little Pigs tale. These stories have grown to about 6,000 (!) in number and have more recurring characters than General Hospital. The ones he tells his daughter revolve around a piggy princess who has a king of a father. These always end with the admonition, "It's good to be king." Or Camilla, as the case may be.

Movies: Lemony Snicket. This was the in-flight entertainment on the flight home last week. Good thing it was a red-eye because this was a real snoozer. And pretty disturbing for young kids, who don't need any help in imagining that their relatives will leave them in a locked car on the railroad track.

Be Cool. Get Shorty was one of my favorite movies of the last few years – witty and funny with lots of good performances. Be Cool is the polar opposite - not a single funny line, gesture or scene. Not one interesting character. A lame dance scene between John Travolta and Uma Thurman. Elmore Leonard should remove his name from this waste of film.
