Courtesy of Laura Lippman –thank god my friends do these things, that’s my excuse – the “she STARTED it” whine that you can probably all recall from some point in your childhood.

• I AM what I yam. No wait, that’s just cheating. I am tireder than I would like.
• I WANT to eat my leftovers and then get tons of stuff done.
• I WISH I didn’t hurt. (god, these sound so pathetic.)
• I HATE whiners and spammers.
• I LOVE my Stu.
• I MISS the ease of things when I was in my 20s; remembering recently how much FUN I had in college, just talking, hanging out with friends, having time, freedom, energy to DO stuff.
• I FEAR being trapped.
• I HEAR amazing things about my wonderful Cornelia’s book.
• I WONDER what’s really true about the future.
• I REGRET that I am not more patient with certain people.
• I AM NOT what I once was.
• I DANCE less often than I would like.
• I SING out loud to the iPod, the tv, any music and would do karaoke if I could find someone to go with me.
• I AM NOT ALWAYS as energetic, in control or “up” as many people seem to think.
• I MAKE WITH MY HANDS dinner, not the stuff I used to crorchet, needlepoint.
• I WRITE very much the way I talk.
• I CONFUSE intelligence with politics, often assuming that my smart friends share my political views.
• I NEED money – tacky but really basic.
• I SHOULD back up the computers.
• I START more books than I finish, but doesn’t everyone?
• I FINISH every job, every chore with a ridiculous sense of accomplishment since I’m often aware of how limited I feel.
• I TAG anyone who wants to do this and hasn’t yet, of course.
