Last night I plugged the chair in - advice from Clark the Chair Dude was that I try charging it every night. After 10 minutes Stu comes in asking me if it should sound the way it's sounding - what like I know?

It's bad - the sound (which is the fan mostly) is fading in and out. It's not right, going OKAY ANd then slowing and then comING UP again and over and over. i unplug it. Try again. i take the fucker into the bathroom - the only other accessible 3 prong/grounded plug. It still sounds bad.

At 11:15 I leave voice mail for Clark - the second message in what 3 days? In a panic as I have Real Plans tomorrow and WANT the thing to work.

I've already missed the Storm game I had hoped to attend at noon today.

After calling the chair company (as I had yet another FRICKIN migraine - this one really bad, when I awoke - it's gone now) at 9:15 I reach Clark's assistant. i didn't want to wait to hear because i suddenly had this brainstorm that HEY rather than spend hours schlepping to the place, they could deliver a new charger to me on their rounds today so i should try to catch the van before it goes out. Hah. Assistant gives me the shop. Shop person says she'll see what she can do and stay by the phone.

At 10:30 i call to talk with her, she's on break. At 10:50 I call Clark again. "Didn't someone call you to tell you when they'd be coming over?"

Jesus. It's FEDEX all over again. No Clark no one did. "Let me put you on hold and go find out." "sorry, i can't get an answer, I'll call you back."

Calls back. "Someone will be there in the next half hour." "Oh, THANK YOU Clark!" "Oh, is it just a delivery guy or a tech?" "No, it's a tech." Yay! I check. It's 11:15ish.

at noon tech calls. He'll be here in the next half hour. Oh man. OKAYYYY. Btw can you bring a new charger? Well, that would mean going back to the shop.....

Jesus.

Even UPS - they always ALWAYS are here before noon or at least 90 percent of the time and before mail. Except that day last week when I went DOWN t Care to have the batteries load tested and really really wanted that new bag I ordered so i wouldn't have to deal with carrying too much.

That was the day that UPS brought my package at 6:45 pm.

I'm pretty much OD'd on chocolate. And alas, i don't drink, not really.

Which god did I offend? Ideas?

Major sigh, back of hand to forehead for extra drama.
