Okay, if you own a television, you probably have had it with the "Obama plate" ads. But they come with a certificate of authenticity!

right.

And I do admit to far too much temptation to continue buying celebratory items. i mean, i have to stop celebrating. But....but...

And I've mostly stopped. I'm delighted my sister sent me the New York Times from November 5, 2008. It's truly something I will cherish. And Stu brought home a special edition Newsweek which again, I value because it had great photos and lots of interest stuff. But...but....

I admit it. Last weekend I bought a cool Obama hat. Or rather Stu got it at the drugstore after the movie. It was only $8 and it really was cool with good embroidery and perhaps a bit too much stuff on it but...but....

And I'm still wearing a button or pin almost daily. Wonder if I'll get over that after the 20th.

But...okay...today I bought a set of Obama cookies. Yes, I did. I really did. I saw them a few days ago and well, hell, Stu can't eat cookies and it really was too pricey and who needs cookies? But well hell, they're made by a local bakery and it's a "set" of five cookies. Really BIG sugar cookies. One each for Barack, Michelle, Malia and Sasha and one for the Dog To Be Named Later. And a percentage of the proceeds is supposed to be going to the Humane Society.

They were on sale. Honest. Three bucks off what they were on Tuesday.

It's not a Fabulous Memorial Plate complete with fireworks but it'll do.

You got one? Please? You must have seen something goofy. And no, the Barack Obama refrigerator magnet doesn't count. Been there, seen that. And the Obama mooncakes for Chinese New Year. Saw those.

Better than cookies? Do tell.
