There's a contest at "Google" for "google doodles" the designs that use the search engine's logo. this contest is for school kids - the theme is essentially, if I could do anything...." The ideas and the art are amazing. Go look. You can vote until May 25.

Check out "Crop Mob" one of the best er grassroots movements around.. i read about this recently in the Sunday New York Times which I see when Kate Schafer drops off the Big Bag O' Papers every few months. Oh heaven. I sort of grew up with the NYT, and it's still a treat to read the Sunday edition. A piece on this movement from back in February, I think, caught my eye. There's a map on-site and there is a Seattle based crop mob. "If i could, I truly would...."
