I imagine most of you wonderful readers already know that because you know me from other worlds, other communities. Not that everyone is on Facebook or hangs out on the net so compulsively, but word gets around.

So just let me tell you that life is sorta kinda suspended for a while. On the evening of June 13, just a couple days after we came back from Connecticut, the wonderful love of my life, Stu Shiffman had a stroke. As I write this it is Sunday evening. Stu is in the ICU at the Level I Trauma Center, Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. This most excellent facility surely saved Stu's life. It's not over yet, there are still many scary tentacles of nasty poking around but for now, he's survived four days, two surgeries, and the hell of falling and breaking stuff while essentially unconscious.

I know some of you pray, send white light, energy beams or chant. Anything you want to do in Stu's direction would be welcomed. It keeps him in the forefront of your mind. And that is kind. I have no spiritual side, Stu is Jewish. Aim accordingly. We have a page on "caringbridge.org" and on FB. Please keep a good thought for this most excellent wonderful human being.
