Cartesian Demons and Substitute Teaching

I finished "Cartesian Coordinates" on Monday.

#

Last Thursday I subbed out at East Lansing High School (where I went), which was very weird.

I'd never taken any classes from the teacher I was subbing for (which would have been even weirder, I guess), but the weirdest thing in all of this was that one of the classes she taught was "Science Fiction."

This was, needless to say, not being offered when I went through.

Sadly, I didn't get a chance to see what this class actually consisted of, since the lesson plans just called for watching a movie.

#

Tomorrow I'm subbing for a Home Economics teacher.

I dearly hope we're watching a movie.

At least it's afternoon, so the whole assignment is just three hours. I don't know how much class time I could spin out of "here's how you put a piece of bread in a toaster," which pretty much sums up my subject matter knowledge.
