As the Iraqis are getting ready for their first democratic election, they are now facing a gasoline shortage. Ironic, huh? The AP article states that people are sleeping in their cars overnight, risking robbery and death, waiting in lines at gas stations. One of the men interviewed said he was nostalgic for the order imposed by Saddam Hussein.

I know that he was a horrible man, and needed to be dealt with, but without a plan, we have ruined these peoples lives (and not in the "it's good for you, trust us, you will thank us later" kind of way). They despise us and because of all the trouble we have caused for them we cannot just up and leave. I fear we are going to be stuck over there for a very very long time.
