Okay so I thought I would take this time to bring you all up to date on my recent activities...

I applied for another part time job here at the University in mid January and never heard anything back so I figured I didn't get it. (I have a very good part time job right now, but could really use the extra money to be able to go out and have fun every once in a while) Anyways... on Thursday I got a call asking if I was still interested and today I went to the interview. I don't know if I got the job but the people seemed really impressed so I will keep you updated...

On Friday night Charlie and I rented "Friday Night Lights" and "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow". Friday Night Lights was good, I even cheered during the final football game(although I don't understand why they changed the ending since it was based on true events.) Sky Captain on the other hand wasn't nearly as good as I had hoped. I really LOVED the stylization of the movie but I HATED Gwyneth... she was terrible... Yuckaroo

On Saturday Charlie and I went to Pensacola's Mardi Gras parade with my boss and his family (He and his wife are like our best friends out here. They have two little boys who I babysit for and they both LOVE me) I spent most of the parade (3.5 hours) standing up and holding Connor who turned one year old in October. He probably weighs 25lbs and needless to say my arms and lower back were killing me on Sunday. I did get alot of beads while holding him though... Nothing like pimping out someone else's baby for cheap plastic trinkets. :)

On Sunday I felt like I had been run over. I was soooooo sore and tired. But I was able to suck it up and head over to my boss's house to watch the superbowl. He has an LCD projector and a 120 inch screen :) The Patriots pulled it out (although it was a little close for my comfort at the end there). The commercials weren't nearly as good as I thought they should be and the game was fairly boring, but we had a blast and the company was good so it could have been worse. (The Patriots could have lost)

All in all, the weekend was great fun and I could definately use more like that in the future.
