Okay, it is the first day of May, I turn 28 in 4 days and as I stare at myself in the mirror and realize that any day now I am going to have to start squeezing my body into a bathing suit, I have decided to join the fun and DARE myself to complete something by May 31. Since I only own 2 piece bathing suits, my dare is going to be physical.

The idea of the DARE intrigued me and I would have done this earlier but I am one of those crazy people who doesn't like to start/stop something in the middle. I don't stop reading in the middle of a chapter. I don't like watching half of something, and I didn't want to start my dare in the middle of the month. (I know, I know, I'm crazy!)

Anyways... I am not concerned so much with losing the weight, as much as toning up and adjusting my metabolism.

My current weight is 148, and this can fluctuate anywhere from 146 to 150 depending on how much I am eating/exercising.

I would love to lose a few pounds, but I know that muscle is heavier than fat so I am more interested in resetting my metabolism so that my typical weight is around 145.

I don't do diets (I don't like being told I can't eat something) and being vegetarian I have lots of great options for just eating better, which I need to start taking advantage of.

I plan to do some aerobic activity everyday (well at least 5-6 days a week) and today I started with a 2 mile walk. I get bored easy so my various activities will include: walking, biking, swimming, and actual aerobics. Plus with all the wacky weather we have been having, this gives me options to be inside so I don't lose a day just because it is raining.

All right, the bar has been set, and I am up for the challenge...

I will keep everyone updated. :)
