2004-09-15 4:23 PM Sometimes I hate being right... Okay, for the longest time I had a real problem trusting Ebay, the world's biggest anonymous internet flea market. I finally got past that last month. Now, I have justification to distrust it all over again.
I won an auction for a gamebook, sent my payment, and waited. And waited. Today, I finally contacted the seller to see what the holdup was. He swore he sent the book, and even typed in the info from his receipt at the post office. The moron sent the item to a person of the wrong gender, at a post office box instead of a place of business, and about 3000 miles off course. So, Kimberly Monnar of Reno, Nevada, enjoy the free book, I guess. As for me, working here in New Jersey, now I get to find out if the schmuck in question will refund my $ voluntarily, or if I have to find out just how good Ebay is at resolving disputes.
