2006-06-09 10:36 AM Michelle Mood: Proud Read/Post Comments (3) |
A little while ago I posted about my friend Michelle, who was in a near fatal car accident on May 11. First, Lea, thanks for asking about her condition. I really do appreciate all the thoughts and prayers... it seems they have worked. On June 1st Michelle was removed from the ventelator and has begun respritory, physical and occupational therapy. The road will be a long one but she looks great, and is in good spirits. Her neuro team expects there to be no brain damage and a full recovery. I have to tell you Michelle is an amazing woman... not only is she my friends girlfriend, that stood by him the whole time he was in Iraq (both times actually), she was there for his Homecoming, she is an angel to hang out with and has a hypnotizing smile, her bubbly personality has won over the entire command to the point where she has become the squadron little sister. She is so full of energy and determination. That is one reason I can understand why Michelle didn't get killed... she didn't want to. She has been moved to a different hospital to better accomidate her therapy. OK for now I am gone, but I will update more as I find shit out.
