First, please do not let the title of this fool you... I do not have jury duty again... actually as per the state of NY I don not have to serve jurty duty again for 6 years... thats great but in 30 days I move to CT... sooo in about 35 days I am expecting a summons for jury duty in the state of CT.

Of all the excuses people come up with to get out of jury duty, I was actually looking foward to sitting on a trial yesterday. It was the first time I had jury duty, considering from the time I was 18, I was active military, I was sent a summons once but I was overseas and had to promptly turn down the city's request. At the beginning of yesterday I was in a jury selection room with about 800 other jurors... and no that is not an exageration. Well the first question asked was "Is there anyone here who can not speak English?" If so, get up and go to another room. At this point about 400 people stood up and walked into the other room... I lost my mind. I couldn't help but to scream at the top of my lungs and remind everyone that got up that the gentleman in the front of the room was speaking ENGLISH and if the couldn't understand the language... how did they know to go to the other room????

I hate people.
