A few months ago I posted one of those 50 questions things.... well at the time I posted it I was unaware of something that changes one of my answers a bit. Below is how I answered the question.
26. The worst injury you've ever had? broken leg (6 places), broken shoulder, broken ankle, broke both hands, broke all fingers (at least twice each) 197 stitches in my head at one time and had my eyelid torn off, crushed a disk in my back, and burned off the top layer of both of my eyeballs. ****UPDATE**** I recently went to the VA hospital to have my injured back (crushed L5- S1) checked out because it had been bothering me. Naturally this being a service connected injury from which I am permanently disabled, treatment is free. The doc did a whole physical, and shot a few x-rays. I went home and thought nothing of it. A week later I receive a letter from the VA. Allow me to paraphrase this letter. "Your blood pressure is great, your colesterol is perfect, everythign looks good.... but about these x-rays... call me." I call and doc's assistant says the doc wants to schedule a cat scan. No problem, I will be there on friday. Upon arrival at cat scan I get to speaking with the nurse, who informs me that my L2 is broken. I responded like anyone who just found out they had been walking aroun for the past 5 years with a broken back. I cursed a lot. Then I asked what now? Doc says.. well we will probably have to re break your back because it healed incorrectly. But don't worry you will only be off your feet for about 8 months to a year... uuuuuummm no. So allow me to add broken back to the above referenced list. Bye/ Read/Post Comments (5) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
