Political Call
that's what the caller id said...political call. my husband, a victim of outsourcing and the economy, was more than eager to pick up the phone.
it was the republican party wanting to know if they could count on his vote this year.
so my husband asks her, "Honey, do you know where i used to work? IBM"
"I don't know what IBM is" she says back.
"You've never heard of IBM?"
"You mean the computer company?"
"Yes, the computer company. And do you know where I work now?"
"No"
"In a deli."
"Oh. I'm sorry to have disturbed you sir." and she promptly hung up.
