Tanking Trivia

How the mighty fall.

Last week we headed over to the restaurant/bar across the street that has Trivia every Thursday. Can we say, "Look at the Big Brains on Mark and Laurie"

Yep, we decimated the competition. Not just by a few points, but with an astounding score of 420 points, our closest competition(two of our friends sitting at the table with us)came in second with 350 points.

My, but we were filling quite full of ourselves with our newly acquired $50 gift certificate to the restaurant.

Knowing we couldn't possibly drink $50 worth of booze(because, I mean, really, why spend it on food?), the next night we headed over there to listen to yet another crappy band, and in the process, met a few new friends(easy to do when you've got $50) We ended up adding another $25 to the total.

Fast forward to last night's Trivia game. It's hard to stay on top and the added pressure doesn't help. I was feeling nervous, and being a neighborhood bar(and since Mark used to work there) we had one distraction after the other. No no, I'm not making excuses, I'm only saying, it just wasn't our night.

*sigh* we came in a disappointing Forth.

oh well, better luck next week! That's all I can say.
