Remnants of Alberto

well, yes, it's that time of year again...hurricane season (and we're not talking hockey here folks, tho dammit, tonight they could win the CUP...GO CANES!)

last year, since most of the hurricanes and tropical storms attacked the gulf coast, they didn't impact us hardly at all. but the year before that, wow, we had constant deluges.

so alberto has come ashore. it's now just a tropical depression, but he's leaving a gully washer. it's been raining since yesterday afternoon. it really began pouring overnight.

there's so much standing water on the roads that the hoopty slips and slides around.

we need the rain, but lordy, i hope it's not going to be like this all year.

and man, wouldn't i have loved to go back to sleep this morning after taking hubby to work. i love heavy rain days like this, as long as i've got nothing to do.

but i'm still doing pages. ugh. i have four more left and then, hopefully, i'll be done. this issue it's going to be tough to choose the editor's choices. there were so many great stories.

anyway, just a quick step in before i have to finish. *sigh* maybe i can sneak in a quick nap anyway...lol...

rain makes me even lazier (if that's possible)

y'all have a great one!
