I get downright irritated

being a part of Entrecard i have the "luxury" if you will, of surfing different political blogs.

now look, i liked mccain, back in the day, when he was a moderate. and i remember watching him seemingly quite painfully have to go along with the ruglican party line post 911, post the 2004 election (when he himself was a victim of karl---why is that spelled with a k?---rove party smear tactics.) i always thought how much he must hate to back bush...i could see in his face how much it hurt him to do so.

but you know what? after that, it's like the devil, karl rove, whispered in his ear "back us and the presidency will be yours." something happened to mccain on the way to the whitehouse. somewhere along the way his ambition outweighed his common sense and, keating five aside, his more moderate stance. it undid everything he used to stand for.

a person who was once the victim of karl rove's campaign politics is now the champion of the same tactics. "well, it worked for bush, so it must work for me"

the only difference is we've had four more years of bush/cheney abusing us. rove ultimately had to "step down" over the valerie plane situtation...tho that's not what we were told.

but don't think rove didn't still pull some marionette strings behind the scenes.

the ugliness that palin has awaken in people along the campaign trail has set this country back 50 years. i lived in NC where the KKK still was present, 8 years ago, no less than three different people tried to recruit my husband into the fold...more presence than i ever witness in all my years in AR.

and now the mccain/palin rally has exposed these ignorant bigots for who they truly are. should we be surprised that a plot to assassinate obama has already been uncovered? (thank God it was the plot of two hair-brained, brain-dead, ignorant, mama first, pick-up second, dog third stupid hicks...i've lived among these types of folks and reason/logic/intelligence are not among their strong suits)

what irritates me the most is that these folks are voting on a single issue or two....abortion, being the first. by all means, let's not let a woman have an abortion but let's kill the fucker years later when he's of age with the death penalty. yeah, that makes sense to their "killing is a sin" argument. gay marriage the second...uh yeah, you've lost your job, can't pay for health insurance, lost your house...but by God, let's not let two men or two women marry.

uh...well, we won't even go into the iraq thing...i think it speaks for itself. (killing is a sin...well, unless you disagree with me and my God...then, not so much)

but the most irritating fact is you can show a right winger the FACTS...take for instance the proposed tax "cuts" and they STILL can't grasp it.

Look i'm no math whiz...i'll be the first to admit i'm not...but even i can see the -'s and the +'s, even i can tell where the -'s are bigger and where the +'s don't exist.

how will you "balance the budget" when you have NO +'s? How?

oh, you'll cut my medicare benefits, and privatize social security which goes against everything that FDR meant to do with medicare and SSI...

why do these people trust a man who has 9 houses? why do these people trust a woman who has been shown, on several occasions, not only to abuse power but to use the public tax roll as her personal bank account?

why can't these people see that they don't have their best interests at heart? why is that so difficult a concept to grasp? all you have to do is look at the numbers.

look, i don't believe obama is the be all end all of candidates/presidents. after all, it depends on the majority rule of congress. of course it does. one need only to look at the first six years dubya had the majority rule of rupuglicans in congress. how else could he rape this country and the world for their own means?

i've read that mccain will truly mark the end of the rove era. we can only pray that is true.

it's many disgusted republicans' belief that on the other side of this election, the party can once again return to what the party was meant to be. the party of ibraham lincoln, instead of the vile, neo-con, religious fanatical, far right wing nut that it has come to be.

we were founded on life, liberty and justice for all...only a small portion of us think that only applies to them.

the only thing that gives me hope is the inspiration that bush and mccain have been to so many people in this country.

What? you don't know? You don't see it? You don't understand?

last night i spoke to a woman who is 49 years old. never in her life has she voted in an election, much less for president. but the past eight years has disgusted her so much that this year will be the first time EVER that she votes.

and yea, she's voting for obama.

election day can't come soon enough for me.
