Thank God for Pets

I'd be lost. The one and only unconditional love. ok, kids kind of fall in that category, but I've seen plenty of folks with not so unconditional love for their kids and vice versa. Luckily, Z-Man loves me pretty unconditionally as I do him. We have a good relationship.

Asche has the pit bull face, though not quite a short snout, her face is pit, and she has the short in stature pit bull height. But her body is long and lean like her flat coat retriever mom. She has a nice long neck, like a flat coat. I knew I picked that "hiding behind the toilet" puppy for a reason. She's a sweetheart.

so for those of you who want to see Asche on the beach, sorry, this is the best pic I got. I'm sorry, my camera doesn't seem to do portraits or macro anymore, so I'm struggling to take pictures at all.

And here is a pic of my baby longing for the outdoors. I do let her out on my balcony, but she wants to eat the plants. So I have to supervise her. In the distance, we not only get to see shuttle/rocket launches, but we get to see the cruise ships leave port (Disney cruise plays that first five to 6 notes of their theme song via their ship's horn...kind of annoying at times)

Dogs and Cats love you regardless of your tone. The next day, hell, 15 mins later, you're still the best thing in their world. They love you regardless of your moods. And they always will.

When people toss pets aside as an accessory or they just can't "deal" with them it's like they have no bonds or attachments, that really ticks me off. In human life, we constantly toss people aside like they are accessories. and in my opinion, if you can't deal with a pet, don't have a kid. Seriously, pets you can leave in a crate. Kids you can't. Ironically, both want your undivided attention when you get home. Only a pet will fall asleep in your lap...a kid, not so much. A child wants (has to have) intellectual stimulation and love. A pet only needs love.

So to reiterate, if you can't handle a pet, you sure as hell can't handle a child.
