more adventures in bus riding and p.a.s.t.

goodness, i took off on the bus at 5 till 12 for the bank and then wally world. i have a 15 min. grace between connecting buses so that wasn't a problem.

however, the #4 was late (12:38) and it's still cold down in these parts, folks. the poor kid next to me at the transfer had not only a bald head, but was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. brrrrr. some african american tourist came by and jokingly (i'm thinking he didn't find it too funny) offered him her coat. he's from here and doesn't even own a jacket...that's how cold it's been here this winter. and yes, he confirmed, this is the coldest winter since 1989.

once the #4 came, we're on our way over the banana river, and low and behold, a truck passes us with p.a.s.t. on the back windshield. guess what it stands for? paranormal activity surveillance team. yep. shocked. i mean, i love to watch paranormal state. not much into the ghost hunters (they kind of overreact only to be cynics about the whole thing.) but still, to find something local like that was kind of, well, amusing, yet thrilling (and i find myself wondering, just what are the qualifications to join the team?) anywho, i'll see if they have a website. he had a yahoo email addy, but i didn't jot it down.

so my one friend tells me after the wallyworld stop that the #4 goes to the mall and turns around. not feeling like crossing a busy highway with boocoos of bags, i decided to catch the bus outside of wallyworld.

i had to ride all the way into cocoa, fl and back again. about 45 mins of bus time to hit my connector. next time, i'll just cross the damn 520 and save myself 30 mins of time. (they run two buses on the #4 so they are always 30 mins apart. wish i'd known that)

on top of that, the seat i sat in was wet. i didn't realize until i got off the bus, used the b of a bathroom and noticed the big wet stain on my ass. i got home at 3:20.

ah, city transit. although today was not a good day to meet people, i do usually meet some interesting folks on the bus. i don't mind taking it, but hopefully, by the end of the month, i'll have my car back. it shouldn't take 3 hours for a 1 hour trip to wallyworld.

i'm just sayin' i miss my car.
