I've been thinking

that's probably not a good thing. i have a tendency to over-analyze way too much. but yeah, one of my rants is on the way. so buckle up, skippy.

ok, so i gave up cnn because it made me crazy. my new crazy is huffpo. i've visited a few conservative blogs similar to huffpo and i can tell you the discourse, if you want to call it that, is way more violent.

at any rate, someone blames liberals (of course) for the downfall of our society, stating that the founding fathers stated that an immoral society would lead to ruin and so they insisted "God" be a part of our society.

really? separation of church and state, freedom of religion? ring a bell?

our founding fathers were deists, they fled europe because europe tried to shove their brand of religion down their throats.

deist: a person who accepts the belief in god, but does not believe in the religion. He/she has no understanding of being atheist or religious, but believe in individualism. these type of people usually understand that believing in god completely is rhetorical because for an atheist and a religious person,in the end neither have proof or a clear explanation on their strong grasp of the belief they so entrust on.

but the poster tries to tell us liberalism has stripped away the morality of society. "liberal indoctrination"

we don't need the bible to make us moral. all we really need is the golden rule. do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

my point...Liberal indoctrination? Give me a break. Morality doesn't come from the bible, it comes from examples of those who live around you and those who raised you. There are just as many immoral bible thumpers as there are immoral atheists, if not more because you guys hide behind God to justify stripping rights from others.

if the conservatives of this country have their way, we'd be a theocracy. Which is so not what our founding fathers intended and is what most of europe has managed to distance themselves from and is why we think we can go into the middle eastern countries and tell them their theocracy is wrong and ours is better. bush had a "mandate from god" we don't want their theocracy (their religion) we want our theocracy (our religion) there is no rational thought. jews, muslims, still bad, yet we support israel, but jews are bad. christians didn't recongize mormanism, but glenn beck speaks the truth.

the founding fathers are turning over in their graves, repeatedly, they are probably half way to China by now. Sadly, they'll find that China owns us. Thanks, Dubya.

i grew up with american ideals, but i swear if i had the money, i'd move to europe. every country has their "dark ages" and ours is coming. we are petulant teenagers. our politicians, left and right, are corrupt and we're about to be 3 world status. and i admit, clinton was the one who started offshoring our jobs.

i'm pissed, i am. and if i had (last check) $750 to take the course for english as a second language teacher i would be so out of here.

we've so twisted the word "freedom" that it basically has no meaning anymore.

oh, those black helicopters will be coming for me soon, don't cha think?
