Mom here. I remember, as a child, standing on my father's feet and having him walk around. My feet would move with his and it would be a challenge to stay on, especially when he tried to see how far apart he could get his feet. His legs were much longer than mine were then...still are.

This evening, after putting LB in his PJ's, I asked him to stand on my feet. He immediately did and I started to walk around with his feet on mine. He didn't completely get it, he kept his legs straight so every time I tried to lift my foot it was a challenge to balance, but it brought back memories of me being in the other role as a child. Totally cool.

I wish I could just list off all the words he knows, but there are so many now that it's just too many to remember. It is interesting hearing his pronunciation evolve. For example, dragon used to be "dagon" but has now progressed to "ragon" it's hard to say whether it is an improvement, but they are changes and are interesting to hear.

LB is sick, unfortunately, but he's definitely on the mend, he had a couple of really bad days (Tues. & Wed.) but was mostly back to normal today. Unfortunately, due to his illness, we had to miss music class today, the last of this session. And now we have to wait for the sessions to pick up again in January. I was sad about that, I'm not sure that he noticed.

He's definitely into sentences now, it's cool. He can usually make himself understood, at least to us. And some of the things he says are just too darn cute. He has memorized many of his books as well. I can read and then pause and he'll fill in the missing word usually. It's fun. He also likes to "read" by himself or to have one of his stuffed animals sit on his lap while he reads. Now we just gotta teach him to actually read and then he'll be set.

His daddy has taught him to howl at the moon. He says "mooooooooooooooon" in a high pitched voice so it sounds like a howl. It's way too cute for words.

I was grading papers this evening and watching the Miracle Worker. Every time I see something like that or even someone having this, that, or the other problem with their child I feel so grateful that we have such a healthy and happy child. I just hope that he continues on that path.

I think this is a long enough update for now.
