Tonight, and he's done it before, LB referred to objects as upside up, and upside down. Makes sense to me. He's also said right side down, I believe. While they're not the normal statements, their meanings are clear. Some day these subtleties will be clear to him, but until then, I'm just happy he can communicate.

Well, unless he gets into one of his "no" moods...
Mom: would you like to go downstairs?
LB: No
Mom: would you like to play in mommy's office?
LB: No
Mom: would you like to go into mommy and daddy's bedroom?
LB: No
Mom: would you like to stay upstairs?
LB: No
Mom: would you like to play outside? (usually a sure winner)
LB: No
Mom: would you like to play inside?
LB: No
Mom: What would you like to do?
LB: blank stare

Oh, and I think he's got his first 5 syllable word. I realized that we're teaching him, and he knows hippo, so tonight I figured we'd take it a step further, and now he knows and can kinda sorta say hippopotamus.
