OK, so the trip went well. I think that the biggest aid in making it go well was making LB as comfortable as possible.

I tried to keep his routine as close to normal as possible-nap times, bed times, meal, snacks, pre bed routine.

Also, I brought as much of his familiar equipment as possible. I brought his blanket and main toy from the car, along with his car seat. I brought his blanket and piggy from his bed at home. I brought a noise generator like the one we use at home for nap and bed times. I borrowed a pack and play for him to sleep in-he slept in one at day care until just a few months ago. It meant lugging more stuff along, but if it made the difference it was totally worth it.

We talked to him about the plane ride before hand, telling him that his stomach and head might feel funny on the plane and if they did that was ok to tell me and I'd help how I could. Daddy also told him that when on the plane he should sit still and listen to mommy, which he mostly did. (when we arrived in SJ, he kept dupming one of the bags into the aisle as I was trying to unstrap his car seat)

I suppose it also helped that there were people at the other end who he knew (Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Shelly) and who helped out with him some too.

Of course, a 1 hour flight didn't hurt either.

Anyway, that's the sum. I hope all of our travels are this easy!!
